Quick Update

It's been awhile since I have posted anything, but we have been very busy with soccer and just other family stuff. Chuck, Tim and Eston were in Orlando last weekend for the Braves spring training. This has been a trip that the three of them have taken the last 3 years. They all have such a good time and look so forward to it every year. Good father and son bonding time. I should have sent my camera with Chuck, but Caitlyn had soccer and of course I can't miss taking pics of those games. Maybe next year!!!!

Chuck has been working very hard the past few weeks trying to get taxes done. Darn I hate this time of year.

Caitlyn's high school soccer team, Starr's Mill has done well overall. They had a HUGE win last weekend when the beat county rival Whitewater, 1-0. The girls played very, very well. It was such an exciting game. One of the girls from Cait's club team plays for Whitewater, and she has played with many of the others at some time or other in her soccer career, so it's definitely hard, but so "sweet" too to defeat them. Then the next week, we had a terrible lose to another high school in the next county. We lost 1-0 to Northgate. I think it was revenge on their part. Last year we beat them and that lose knocked them out of the state playoffs. We should have won this year. Oh well, those things happen. We are still in the running for the playoffs again this year. Hopefully we can keep that going.

We've had so much rain this past week that all of the stuff being done to the house has been put on hold. I can't wait until it is all done. Seems like we could have built an entire house as long as it has been taking to finish the porch. The new front door is on and I love it. We also found out that we have to get a new pool liner. Wow, I think I better start playing the lottery. Guess we will enjoy the pool this summer, but won't be able to eat. Oh well, priorities right.

OK gotta run. Laundry calls.

Bryan is 20!!!!

Well on March 10, Bryan turned 20, and we celebrated his birthday last night at Longhorn. It was great!!! I love it when everyone is together, which doesn't happen enough. We all went to Longhorn after spending the day watching Austin wrestle in Kids State.
It is so hard to believe that Bryan is 20!!! I swear I totally remember the ride to the hospital and dropping Natalie at the babysitters March 10, 1989. It seems like it was just yesterday and now he is a sophmore in college. How time flies.

Bryan next year we are VEGAS bound, can't wait. Happy Birthday Buddy~~~ Love ya

It's March and it's snowing

How exciting, here we are in the south, and its the first day of March and we have snow. Wish my kids were little, so we could go outside and make snow angels in the snow. I grew up in New Jersey and we did that all winter long. Instead, Natalie, is upstairs chillin, Bryan is driving home from a weekend in Athens, Caitlyn is having a fun snow day with her friends and boyfriend, while Chuck and I are sit here, in front of a blazing fire, watching the snow, watching movies, I'm cooking soup and pizza, and enjoying the scenery. I love this. I did get Natalie to go outside for a bit so I could take some pics. (Wow, now it's coming down really hard again). Maybe I can convince Natalie to go back outside and lay in it so i can get just one snow angel. I did get Hollie out there and took some pics of her. Man she needs a bath, as she doesn't look white compared to the snow. There is a pretty good chance there will not be school tomorrow, or maybe we will get to go in late. The roads will surely freeze up and if the buses can't run we can't have school. I'd love just one day and then I'll be ready for spring weather.

I did go out to the grocery store to get the stuff for soup, and everyone else was there. It was kind of funny. You would think that the snow was around for days, but it was neat. Reminded me of when I was little and we all did have to run to the store to get the basics for a few days in side. I didn't let it bother me, because everyone is enjoying this.

Well, I'll post a few pics, try and get Natalie outside for some more, and I know Caitlyn will take a ton, so may post some of those too.

Just another Saturday

Well, I slept in a bit today, as I was up at 4:00 and couldn't go back to sleep. Came downstairs so that I wouldn't wake up Chuck and I sat and watched TV. I haven't posted since my original post last week, guess really nothing much has been going on. The weather here as been crazy. Terrible storm over our winter break and then again last night. I have been watching the news this am. it seems more bad weather may be headed this way. Darn, we are having a small porch put on the front of the house and with this weather it seems we can't get it finished. I can't wait to see what will look like, should add to the house, and then hopefully we will also sod and get this place looking presentable. They are also calling for snow tomorrow. Wow, mother nature has to show us all of her darling friends in one weekend. Well, no biggy, it will pass and one day the work outside will be done. Here's what it looks like right now, it's getting there.

Caitlyn did have a game this week, and what a game it was. I think the girls thought tha
t the team they were playing was EASY to say the least. Anyway, long story short, we were down 2-0 and then Caitlyn scored a "beautiful", (what her club coach would call a "girly" goal) right over the goalies head into the goal. Half time it was 2-1. We tied it up toward the end of the second half and went into two 5 min overtimes, with the score still 2-2 at the end of that, so that means shoot outs; Nail biters. Anyway, we ended up winning in shootouts. Whew. Puts Starr's Mill with a record of 3-1. Next game is Tuesday, 7:3o at the Mill if anyone is interested. I am posting a few pictures from Cait's last game.

Well, I need to get some stuff done around here.

Again, remember I am new with this blogging stuff, LOL. Any suggestions you can make would be appreciated.

Our Family

I have been wanting to start a blog about our family. So, here is a little bit about our gang. Chuck and I have been married almost 13 years. We met New Year's Eve, 1993 when a neighbor introduced us, but to be honest we just really didn't hit it off then. Several months later, August 1994 to be exact, we did go out for the first time, and well the rest is history. We were married May 10,1996 and because we fell in love, we have "The Gang" and what a wonderful "gang" we have.

I have three children from my first marriage, Natalie 22, Bryan 19 and Caitlyn 16. Chuck also has three from his first marriage, Nick 30, Chad 28 and Cole 24. We have 3 grandchildren. Austin, Olivia and Meredith. Austin and Olivia are Nick and Sherry's two children and Meredith is Chad and Carrie's little girl.

It is a crazy life, but we love it and we have a lot of fun when we all get together. We are very fortunate that all 6 children live in this area and we hope that they will all remain here. We've had to deal with Chad and Carrie living out of state until last weekend, when they moved back to Atl. from Tampa. Yeah!!!

Well, I think I will go ahead and get this first entry posted.

God bless you all
